A website to brag about
The Web Design Process
Building a website can be overwhelming. I’ll be your guide, helping you work out the details you want included on your site, and then taking that information and making it happen.

Phase 1: Interview & Research
Since a website has so many facets, it’s crucial that everyone be on the same page when building one. Get ready to answer a lot of questions. I want to know about your goals, your customers, and how you want to present yourself to the world. I want to know about your competition and your marketplace. What is your vision for what you want your site to do for you? Every decision from that point on will flow from that central vision.

Phase 2: Site Mapping, Wire Framing & Content Creation
Site maps and Wire Frames are our master plan for your site, and we work on those together to make sure every detail is exactly right. In web design, it’s important to plan ahead, so you can avoid costly changes later in the process.

Phase 3: Styling
Enough with all this planning, let’s get to the juicy stuff! In this phase I develop a visual language with fonts, colors, buttons, menus, search bars, etc, customized to reinforce your brand. I present up to 3 design options and listen carefully to your feedback. This is the phase where we set the visual system in place for the site.

Step 4: Implementation
I partner with talented programmers to take your site into the real world, with custom CMS (that’s Client Management Software, aka a backend you can edit!) SEO optimization, and security features. All of Ladderback Design’s sites are protected with a year’s free maintenance, and we offer packages to upgrade that maintenance if you need any extra bits and bobs in the future.
